Mean Girls meets The Clique in this relatable M!X novel that tackles the effects of online bullying. Faith Taylor is popular by association, thanks to her BFFs, Adria and Janelle. When a new website called SlamBook targets her school's popular kids, Faith gets sucked in. And when she discovers her own page on the site, she finds herself obsessing over the comments people are posting about her. Some are good, some are…not so good. Faith becomes determined to match the negative comments to the people, and begins to retaliate by posting negative comments of her own. Soon, Faith finds that people are talking about the comments she's leaving. Even though she does feel guilty, it's just so easy to be mean behind the anonymity of her laptop. But when her comments go too far, she realizes she must figure out a way to make things right before it's too late.

Political activist William Greene, Wes Boyd, and Eli Pariser of the liberal group Moveon.org on this edition of Fresh Air. Greene is a founder of the conservative group rightmarch.com. According to the group's website, rightmarch.com "is an umbrella website for many conservative organizations." The group has launched media and email campaigns, some of them against Moveon.org. They are planning on sponsoring TV ads criticizing the liberal group. One of the group's members recently released a country song entitled "Hey Hollywood." The song pokes fun at so-called "liberal" actors and country musicians, like Willie Nelson and The Dixie Chicks, who speak out against the war in Iraq. Wes Boyd and Eli Pariser are members of the liberal group Moveon.org. The group was founded by Boyd and Joan Blades, two Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, in the late 90s as a liberal political force. MoveOn recently sponsored the "Bush in 30 Seconds" ad contest. Some 1500 contestants submitted ads and over 100,000 people voted for them online. Moveon.org is raising money to air the winning ad on TV this week. The organization is even trying to get the ad aired during the Super Bowl. (Broadcast Date: January 21, 2004) 1. Language: English. Narrator: Terry Gross. Audio sample: http://samples.audible.de/rt/whyy/040121/rt_whyy_040121_sample.mp3. Digital audiobook in aax.

Stuttering & Anxiety Self-Cures (eBook, ePUB)
11,95 € *
ggf. zzgl. Versand

This is the THIRD EDITION of the Book.As the 95%, 5 Star-book reviews reveal, Stuttering & Anxiety Self-Cures (SAC) is unique, as it offers concrete, step-by-step methods to self-cure stuttering, a disease that doctors and speech therapists continue to insist is "incurable" - all written by an author who cured himself and has helped many others self-cure. Proof that his methods work is provided by the Success Stories that are posted monthly on Speech Anxiety Anonymous' (SAA's) website (the author's charity, which he alone funds, where self-cured stutterers help others stop stuttering, no charge). This SAC-3rd Edition provides a very real, living, breathing, human story of the author's 25-year battle to overcome stuttering (as a young attorney who couldn't say his own name in court). As a bonus, it shares all that the author has learned from his 5,000 Followers on Facebook, virtually all of whom are people who stutter (PWS), many of whom communicate constantly with the author. By late 2018, the author had already done over 2,500 free, coaching sessions with PWS, and he continues to do 25-30 coaching-sessions every week, all free. He began streaming some of his daily coaching sessions live in 2018, and the 700+ videos posted by late 2018 had 25,000+ views on his YouTube and Twticth.tv online channels. Anyone who stutters, or who suffers speech-anxiety in any form, should read this unique book and contact the author (at info@saahelp.org) and launch their own self-cure. If you pop SAC's cover and read "What Readers Say", you will see proof that SAC gives the tools that can end speech anxiety, worldwide, forever. Don't miss it.
